10th AMEPS Steering Committee Meeting is held in Manila on 14th June 2008. AMEPS Directors from 9 nations included local host and members join this bi-annual meeting to engineer AMEPS performance.

 

AMEPS Steering Committees visited EPSON PRECISION Philippines Inc.
Recycling Facilities; Friday 13th June 2008

AMEPS Steering Committees from 8 nations (Korea, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Thailand and local)
visit Epson Precision Philippines, Inc at the Lima Technology Center, an industrial estate in Malvar-Lipa, Batangas, where the styrofoam packaging materials are crushed into fiberglass-type blocks – A Lump These lumps are re-exported for use abroad as materials in the manufacturing of Polystyrene plastic products

Epson Precision Philippines Inc. is very keen of Green Activities, their EPS Crusher and Melter facilities considered as one of the best in the Philippines. Output is the valuable PS Lump.

Peter Poon (Dartson Polyfoam) from Hong Kong is one of a great AMEPS Director.

AMEPS Steering Committee from 8 nations visit the biggest Philippines EPS manufacturer Mega Packaging Corporation on 13th June 2008. Founded in June 1994 with the up-to-dated capacity of 350 metric tons per month, Mega Packaging Corp. is now the biggest EPS and Foam Plastics (EPE, EPP and EPO) manufacturer in the Philippines. With 25,000 Sqm. area. Mega Packaging Corp. headquarter located in Canlubang Industrial Estate, Laguna, the Philippines.

Mega Packaging Corp. determine to dedicate promote in Recycling Activities. Their “Mobile Recycling Plant” is one of the outstanding evidence. The Foam Melting Unit installed in a 6 wheels truck with necessary utilities proved very satisfied performance.
